A welcoming new waterfront plaza now open at Dock One

There’s a new place to pause by the water. The new community plaza beside Dock One is now open, offering residents and visitors a generous green space to relax, connect and enjoy Port Adelaide’s unique harbour setting.

Designed as a natural extension of the waterfront, the plaza features open green lawns, shaded seating areas and a nature-inspired play space for younger visitors. Whether you are meeting friends, taking a moment to unwind, or simply enjoying the view across the water, it provides a calming, family-friendly destination in the heart of the precinct.

Importantly, the plaza is directly linked to the new Dock One footbridge, creating seamless connections for pedestrians and cyclists. These links further enhance the highly walkable lifestyle emerging throughout Port Adelaide, encouraging people to move easily between the waterfront, local streets, nearby attractions and future Dock One North development.

The project was delivered by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, reflecting ongoing investment in high-quality public spaces that support community life and strengthen Port Adelaide’s identity as a vibrant, evolving waterfront destination.

With the footbridge now open and the new plaza activated, Dock One continues to take shape as a place where people can live, walk, ride and enjoy the harbour every day.
