Marine and Harbours Hotel, Port Adelaide
Built in 1979, the Marine and Harbours Building originally housed a State Government department responsible for shipping permits and customs operations. After sitting vacant for two decades, it was acquired by Kite Projects to be revived as a retro boutique hotel within the Dock One masterplan.
Port Adelaide’s rich history of migration and maritime trade is now fuelling a new era of growth. The precinct is transforming into a vibrant hub for government, defence and private-sector investment, attracting businesses and driving fresh development. A growing mix of bars, cafés, pubs and retail continues to energise the area, bringing renewed life to the historic Port.

Demolition works have officially commenced at the Marine and Harbours Hotel, marking the beginning of its transformation into a bold new boutique hotel. Blending 1970s architecture with contemporary design, the Marine and Harbours Hotel will offer 100 rooms, dining experiences, and will become a landmark addition to the Port Adelaide precinct.
